BACK 2 SCHOOL BLUES x ROSE DREAMS.

It's that time of year again! Expensive textbooks, new professors, late nights, but most importantly - new clothes! Have fun with your back to school wardrobe this year by adding random additions to your looks. I took a classic school girl look and added some interest with this denim over-all top I cut off a pair of overalls I thrifted. Pairing denim with denim is a simple way to make a fashion statement. Baseball caps are a gift from heaven when I'm having a bad hair day. This hat is going to be my go-to this semester because its casual and it gives off a 90s vibe - and you guys know how much I love the 90s. As some of you know, I am starting my senior year at F.I.T. this Fall. I'm excited! I wonder how different it's going to be going to school from home (in the city) rather than being upstate in a college town. I definitely miss that already, if it were up to me I'd do like four more years at school upstate LOL. Anyways, being that I'll be in the city for good I will be more consistent with my posts, and I have a lot of cool things up my sleeve so stay tuned!

SIMPLE STATEMENTS.

Ok, I'm going to be totally honest - when I planned my outfit for this shoot I looked like I was coming straight out of Amish country, ready to milk a cow LMAO. I was wearing a white off the shoulder crop top with the top half of some old overalls I cut. I loved it but it was just a little too much (even for me), especially with this hairstyle. So, a few minutes before I left to shoot I scrambled through my drawer and threw this halter top on and fell in love. Halter tops remind me of the 90's and my childhood, I wore them so much as a kid. They are very popular now and can be found in many fast fashion stores such as F21, H&M, Zara, etc. What I really love about them is that they can be dressed up or down. Versatility is key.

I'd probably wear this outfit if I were going out at night to a bar or something of that sort. It's one of my more simple looks - not much accessories and stuff. Personally, I feel like less is more most of the time - when it comes to style at least. You never want to look like you're trying too hard, it should be effortless. Just wear whatever you feel good in & I guarantee you really will look good in it. I usually keep to neutral clothes, mostly black, white and grey, because they are so clean and make a chic statement. I bought this top (Pull & Bear) and these shoes (Stradivarius) while I was in Italy. Both of the stores have no locations in the U.S. so I wanted to take advantage. They have really cute stuff for reasonable prices.

This is one of my favorite hairstyles. It's called the 'Milkmaid Braid'. It's more simple than it looks. All you do is put your hair into two low braids and pull them across the crown of your head one at a time and pin them down. It's the perfect hairstyle to do when dressing up that requires very little effort.
