Nothing screams sexy and elegant more than a Little Black Dress and nude pumps. Whether you're going clubbing with the girls or out for a romantic date with the boyfriend, this combo is the perfect choice. Keep warm but remain stylish with a long black coat. Add some sass to the outfit with a pair of gold hoop earrings and a middle part with your hair pin straight and you are ready to take on the world! This dress is currently out of stock at Windsor, but I have linked their site above because they have a ton of other options - definitely my go to store for dresses of any kind!

TOMBOY IN TIMBS.

GET THE LOOK

Hey Y'all! Thanksgiving is in two days and the temperature is just starting to drop below 50 degrees in NY. That definitely affected cold wear sales in the industry, but I think it's finally time to start thinking about coats and winter boots. In my previous post, I styled my classic green bomber jacket and in this one I am showing you guys how I styled my black longline bomber. As I told you before, I'm obsessed with bombers because they're the perfect mix between streetwear and chic. I bought this jacket from Against All Odds in the Staten Island Mall, but they do not have an online store so I linked a similar jacket above. This jacket is pretty warm and I can tell already that it is going to be my go-to this season.

I kept the look more on the tomboy side today with this printed top from the Forever 21 Artist Series featuring famous illustrations from Jean Michael Basquiat. Basquiat is one of my favorite artists, so when I saw this shirt hanging in F21 it was just screaming my name. You can dress it down like I did here, or go for a more sporty feminine look with a pair of heels or booties as well. I decided to pair it with my shiny spandex leggings and Timbs. Timberlands are a classic icon of hip hop style and have been since the 90s when the subculture adopted them into their everyday wardrobe. Although, they were originally designed and marketed for blue collar workers, they are a classic in urban fashion and I predict that they'll continue to be for a while.

Read more about Basquiat here.

THE BOMB.

GET THE LOOK

Bomber Jacket || Netted Top || Pants || Sneakers  || Sunnies || Faux Septum Ring

Bombers, Bombers, Bombers. Bomber jackets are definitely all the rage this season. These jackets were popular when I was in Jr High school (Circa 2006). I used to be obsessed with them, I had like five different colors & I am so happy that they're back in style. I think we can credit Kim & Kanye for making them widely accepted this year. They're the perfect streetwear jacket for the Fall into early Winter. They're comfy, they're pretty warm, and they can complement nearly any outfit. I would wear my bomber with casual outfits like this one, or I would go the total opposite direction and wear it for a night out with a cute LBD (Little Black Dress) and heels.

Now onto the rest of the outfit. I actually thrifted this netted top from the Salvation Army when I was living Upstate. My most unique and probably all my favorite pieces are from thrift stores. I think I've earned the title as Thrift Queen, seriously. I don't understand why everyone doesn't shop at thrift stores. I mean, you find the dopest pieces, its much less likely to see someone else with the same piece as you, you can find vintage pieces that were actually made in the 90s, 80s, and even earlier, it's good for the environment (recycled fashion), and most importantly its soooooooo cheap. Like Macklemore said, "I'm gonna pop some tagsOnly got twenty dollars in my pocket". He wasn't lying! I kept the rest of the look pretty simple with these high waisted pants from H&M, which by the way are probably my favorite high waisted bottoms because they fit my waist and hips perfectly and they aren't super long. It's such a struggle shopping for bottoms with my body type because I'm super short (5'0"), I have a tiny waist, wide hips, and thick legs. So when I come across a pair of pants that fit just right, it's a lot like hitting the lotto LOL.

THIS OR THAT.

GET THE LOOK

Today's look is a bit different than the usual. I wanted to show you guys two ways to style a simple pullover hoodie. The first look is more dressy, something I would wear for a night out with the girls. The second look is much more versatile, I would wear it anywhere really. Most people would never think to wear a hoodie with pumps, but you know I love unexpected pairings. Pumps are the simplest way to elevate your look. I really love the way pumps look with a pair of skinny jeans. They help elongate your legs, and make your legs and booty look poppin! LOL.

I told you guys I've been loving the color green this season. From emerald to teal, this color has stole my heart. It compliments the beautiful colors of the leaves and it just screams FALL. I love the fit of these jeans. They are actually made by Buffalo, but this particular style is no longer in production so I l linked a similar pair of jeans above. To give the look a more feminine touch, I tied the back of my hoodie with a scrunchie and tucked it up into the hoodie to give it a cinched look. I kept my makeup super simple and my hair "natural", because I was going for an effortless look. My hair isn't actually this curly, or wavy, whatever you wanna call it. My natural hair is more wavy/straight but those days when I want it to look natural or messy like this, I wet all of it, and saturate it with Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie and scrunch it up into a bun for a few hours or until it dries (usually I leave it in over night). This product smells soooo good and it works miracles. I definitely recommend this brand for all your natural hair care needs!
