CAMO CHIC.

Camo print has become a staple in my wardrobe. I like to stick to camo jackets, though - camo pants or shirts, etc. can easily look tacky. I almost see it as a neutral because of the earth tone colors that make it up.  It's such an easy way to add some interest to an outfit. I tend to throw this camo jacket on when I'm wearing an all black outfit, like this one. I bought this jacket at a thrift store, where I usually find the dopest pieces. I will provide a link to a similar jacket from Etsy at the end of this post, but honestly your best bet is to search some local thrift shops.

I wore this outfit last week on a really nice day (64 degrees), with a circle skirt from F21, but it ended up being super windy and my skirt kept flying up. So, I wanted to save myself the embarrassment and I bought this leather and suede panel mini skirt from H&M during my lunch break at school. It turned out working in my favor because I really love this skirt and I know I'm going to have so much fun styling it in the future.

I wanted to embody some fall trends in this outfit, but still stay true to my comfortable tomboy chic aesthetic. I tied this plain black shirt in a front knot to show some skin - makes me look a little taller- and I chose this skirt because it really complemented the shirt and jacket and its super trendy. I love wearing cute socks with skirts in the fall, so I threw these maroon knit socks on with these pointy dress shoes. I love the masculinity of these shoes + (STYLE TIP) pointy toe shoes visually elongate the legs, so if you're a shorty like me you should definitely add some to your wardrobe! This wide brim hat really completed the look - if you don't have one you need to get one asap! Hats are the easiest way to elevate your look, not to mention they are a life saver when you're having a bad hair day.
