Want to be comfy without looking like a complete boy? Throw on a baseball tee with thigh high heels for the ultimate sport x sexy ensemble. For a less daring look, pair a classic bomber jacket with a white crop top and black pants that flatter your body shape. Black, white, & olive is always a color combination you can count on to make you look effortlessly chic. These colors are perfect for Fall & Winter (and all year around if you're like me.) Throw on your favorite pair of heels and you're ready to go.

For this look, I had the pleasure of styling social media icon  Alex Isabella in Orlando, Florida. She was such a pleasure to work with. I love seeing females pursue their passion despite the fact that society tells us we are incapable of doing so. Alex is a shorty (literally) just like me. She stands at 4'11 but she doesn't let that stop her from working the camera like a boss.

It was a really random trip. I was invited by some friends a few days before departure and I decided to take the opportunity to work with new faces and make some new connections. I almost backed out the day before I left NY because my anxiety was at an all time high, but I'm so glad I decided to go. It was an amazing get away, definitely much needed relaxation time. I may do a short post wit a recap on my stay in Orlando, so look out for that.

15. Breathe. Anxiety has been the biggest obstacle I've faced this year, and probably the hardest in my whole life.  It's so important to remember to breathe when I'm feeling anxious. Recognize the feelings, feel them, then take a deep breath and just let them go. Things are not as bad as they feel.

14. Be Aware. Of your surroundings, your belongings, your society, your thoughts, your actions. Everything. Awareness is the key to life. In 2015, my house was broken into and many things were taken including my camera, some jewelry and clothing. My iPad and iPhone were stolen from me in Italy. At times I felt so helpless and victimized by these actions as well as my own thoughts and anxiety. I definitely learned to be more cautious of my belongings and to be conscious of my thoughts and the "person" inside me who has these thoughts and not let them control me.

13. Don't Hesitate. Book the flight. Text him first. Make moves...even if you have to do it alone. If you really pay attention, you'll realize how much you let fear stop you on a daily basis. Stop that. Just do it.

12. Travel. Near. Far. International. Just pack a bag and go somewhere. Traveling is the most freeing thing a person can experience. It opens your mind to so many new cultures, food, people, and so much more. I was blessed to be able to travel to Florida and Italy this past year and I already have a bunch of travel plans for 2016 that I cannot wait to start on! There's nothing worse than being stuck local and not experiencing different places.

11. Stay Positive. No matter what. Even when you're going through a break up, even when you & your friends aren't on good terms, even when your professors are being jerks, even when you're broke, even when everything seems to be going wrong. Energy is everything, all things in this world are literally created by energy. Speak things into existence. It really works. Think positive, make positive moves & positive things WILL happen.

10. Don't Worry. It's a waste of energy. Simple.

09. Stay True. To yourself. To your values. To the people you love. To your dreams. If you don't feel comfortable about something, don't deal with it. If you want something, say it & go get it. Don't ever sacrifice your morals for other people or external forces. Everything else will fall into place.

08. Sleep. Get as much as your body needs or unleash the beast.

07. Be Selfish. Mostly with your time and energy. It's OK to put yourself first. After all, if you don't have your own back, nobody else will.

06. Stay Healthy. Your health is the utmost important thing. Don't ever sacrifice it for anything or anyone. Not your boyfriend, not your best friend, not your GPA. Eat well. Drink water. Meditate. If you need a day to rest & recuperate physically or mentally, take it. And don't feel bad about it.

05. Who You Know. That's really all it's about. What you know comes second. Go out, make connections & use them. You'll need to step outside of your comfort zone pretty often, but nothing great ever came from comfort zones.

04. Go With The Flow. As long as your intentions are pure, things will work out just as they should. Don't stress. Don't force anything. Just live.

03. Stay Humble. Humility is the most admirable trait a person can have. Nobody likes a person who brags or boasts. At the end of the day we were all brought into this world the same way and we all breathe the same air. Don't ever think that because of your status, job, etc. that you're better than the next man. After all, we're all floating on a tiny sphere in the middle of nowhere.

02. Set The Bar High. For yourself & for those who look up to you. Dream big & go for it. If it can be thought of, it can be achieved. Do not ever settle for less than you deserve. Know your worth and don't let anyone make you question that.

01. Be Present. This is the most important lesson I've learned. I'm a bit of a control freak, so I spend a lot of time anticipating the future, planning, organizing, etc. That's great & all but sometimes I can get lost in that and miss the moment that I'm living in. Stop thinking about the past, stop stressing about the future, just enjoy the moment. Really look around and engage your senses in the present situation.

Anyone who knows me knows that I don't live a regular life. I've been dealt a handful (or ten) of nonsense & I never claim to be perfect. However, I do aim to be a better person every day and I'm so grateful for both the good and bad because it has all shaped me into the woman I am today. Truthfully, I'm extremely proud of the person I am at this moment. I think that as I grow I am figuring myself out more and more and becoming much more comfortable with myself. 2015 was the most insane year of my life. I went through a multitude of changes and was faced with several challenges, but I'm learning to use that all as motivation. I cannot wait to use these lessons to aim even higher for 2016 & most importantly to share my journey with you guys!

Hope you enjoyed this post. I'll be doing more lifestyle posts, to show you guys more of the real me. Fashion is my passion and it holds deep meaning for me and my life, but there's so much more to me than what you see on the surface.
